I was surfing the net for some softwares for web designing which would be easy to use. I came across this software, the coffeecup html editor. This is a very good and easy to use software. This software combines both an html editor and wysiwyg editors. So, you can get the advantages of both. This software is very user-friendly. It also teaches some basic html codes. You can also easily edit any webpage, even if you have created it with other softwares or editors.
The free version of this software and many other useful softwares related to web designing is available at www.coffeecup.com. But, the free version only contains the html editor. You can also get a 30 day trial of the entire software. |

Thanks for sharing! I have heard a lot of great things about this editor during my online travels. I have heard that it's easy and I have heard that you can learn some HTML through using it. Now correct me if I'm wrong but isn't this a WYSIWYG (what you see is what you get) editor?

Yes, you are right WYSIWYG stands for what you see is what you get. It basically means that the way you arrange things in your webpage it appears exactly the same way in any browser. It is very easy to use, you don't need to learn html and type commands. Also, you can get a good idea of html through this. MS FRONTPAGE is another such editor which I'm experimenting with currently.

RSS is a format for syndicating news and the content of news-like sites, including major news sites like Wired, news-oriented community sites like Slashdot, and personal weblogs. But it's not just for news. Pretty much anything that can be broken down into discrete items can be syndicated via RSS: the "recent changes" page of a wiki, a changelog of CVS checking, even the revision history of a book. Once information about each item is in RSS format, an RSS-aware program can check the feed for changes and react to the changes in an appropriate way. | |
