Web designing is a great art it requires creativity, concentration, and knowledge. Websites are designed using html(hyper text mark-up language). It is like a programming language having a syntax of its own. But, it has some limitations like the required time, effort etc are more. To overcome its limitations nowadays special softwares are being used. These are the wysiwyg(what you see is what you get) editors. These are very use-friendly. But, these also has its own limitation. Lets see the pros and cons of each of them.
Html : Advantages : Designing is very easy using html for professionals Own functions can be written depending on your requirement You can insert any codes any where you want Dis-advantages : You need to study html. Without good knowledge it cannot be used It is somewhat time consuming and requires effort It seems a bit complicated and confusing Wysiwyg Advantages : You do not need much knowledge to design webpages It is less time consuming and does not require much efforts It is very user-friendly and easy to use Dis-advantages : You cannot design professional webpages using this You cannot write functions using these, you need to insert html functions It is somewhat dependant on html. Without knowing bit of html you can’t use it Both, have their own advantages and disadvantages. You have to make your choice depending on your knowledge, purpose, content, etc. |

There are also great content managment systems (CMS) out there. These are perfect for helping those with no web design or web skills. Take a look at Joomla or Mambo. They are great if you want a virtually instant, easy web site

Bubbles... I've hear a lot about mambo. I used PHP Nuke It a long long time ago. I'm not sure if you're familiar with that but I was wondering if it was similar to mambo?

RSS is a format for syndicating news and the content of news-like sites, including major news sites like Wired, news-oriented community sites like Slashdot, and personal weblogs. But it's not just for news. Pretty much anything that can be broken down into discrete items can be syndicated via RSS: the "recent changes" page of a wiki, a changelog of CVS checking, even the revision history of a book. Once information about each item is in RSS format, an RSS-aware program can check the feed for changes and react to the changes in an appropriate way. | |
