When looking at exchanging links with other sites, remember:

Google favours text links!!!
So don't get carried away with little banners and buttons-pretty as they are:)
A plain old www.mysite.com is best, if you want Google's attention.

Oops...I didn't know that. I think buttons are very purrty so I always make one for my site. However, I always use text links in my signature. Wait, does that mean I should advertise in text rather than banners?

Anyway, thanks for the information Bubbles.

Well you will have to experiment. I think when doing link exchange etc. It is best to use just text if you are trying to get attention from the search engines. However if you are placing an add somewhere to get suffers to click a banner will probably work best for that purpose:)

I agree with Bubbles. Links like www.whatever.com work best. At least this has been my experience in the past. I'm still trying to figure out how to tell whether or not a site is worth linking to except for the fact as to whether their content is relevant to your site or not. Anyone have any ideas to share here?

RSS Feed RSS is a format for syndicating news and the content of news-like sites, including major news sites like Wired, news-oriented community sites like Slashdot, and personal weblogs. But it's not just for news. Pretty much anything that can be broken down into discrete items can be syndicated via RSS: the "recent changes" page of a wiki, a changelog of CVS checking, even the revision history of a book. Once information about each item is in RSS format, an RSS-aware program can check the feed for changes and react to the changes in an appropriate way.
